"2 Headed Shark Attack" By Valentin

Good morning everybody,

Today I'll talk you about a great movie that I just watched. As you know, I'm Valentin and I'm a kind of expert in bad and improbable movies such as the next one. It name is “2 headed Shark Attack”, just the name show that this movie look real great, isn't it?

This movie has been produced by Christopher Ray in 2012 and distributed by the “wonderful” production house : The Asylum, specialised in low budget movies and mockbusters (bad movies). It lasts around 1h30 and has a budget of one million dollars approximately.

You will not find this movie in the cinema but only in DVD (hard to find) or on good french channels such as NRJ12 (I'm ironic of course).

It was a kind of torture to watch this turkey (bad movie) but it's just amazing to talk about it. 

First I will explain you the synopsis of this movie : to do brief, a group of student on a boat are sinking next to an island (which, I precise, threat to collapse at any moment). And while they are waiting for some rescue, a huge shark with two heads attacking them. It already show that the story promise to be a bit delirious.

But at this story with no sense is added problems in the narrative form, with rotten adventures and the final resolution (the death of the shark) which is in pulpboard. If we want to dig more, I could notice fun details, such as the shipwreck (which is lamentable), the behavior of characters, the quality of actions (an island is overwhelmed in a long time actually, or in the film it disappears in a few hours) and the final outcome which is quite original.

I will continue with the production which can be resume in one word : awful. During all the movie we can notice problems in the editing : a lot of shot are not adapted to the action, uncoordinated, it seems to be filmed with an amateur camera.

Some temporal problems, camera shots don't give a realistic vision of the action. Moreover, about special effects, the shark is not realistic at all, with attacks given by a computer and a bad photoshop assembly. It seems to be an old robot which are not doing anything except to move with actors who simulate pain with not convincing shouts. Last, we have a movie filmed poorly and it removes the potential it has.

I will follow with the music of the movie. The principal critic is that the music is uncoordinated with actions, the movie shows a scary music when nothing happen and vice versa. Furthermore, sounds are done not well, explosions hurt ears more than any other things.

Last I will talk about actors perfomance, and here again is a bit scandalous. There is no realism in their behaviors, their dialogues are limited such as an erotic movie or a silent movie from 1950 (that's idiot, but the only scenes interesting or I would say fun, are when our poor sexy girls are lounging on the boat just before getting eaten).

I noticed the contribution of Carmen ELECTRA which is very useless and doesn't increase the general level of actors. Finally the quota of horror movies is respected : a smart chinese, a strong black, sexy girls, a guy who pretend understand everything but in fact he's the more stupid, a stoned guy who resolve the problem and a leader who died first.

As a conclusion, a bad movie at any point of view, with a grotesque history, bad produced, featuring a gang of young people full of hormones and who exhibit themselves instead of playing their roles, all that accompanied of special effects made, I think,  by a ten years old child wearing boxing gloves

I will give a 0,5 out of 10 to thank the effort to produce the movie and 0,5 out of 10 because I had a lot of fun watching it.So I gave a global grade of 1/10.
