For others, I’m sure that now, you want to see this movie to know if Bryan
(Liam Neeson) managed to find his daughter.
So, today
I’m going to talk about “Taken”, a French film which is directed by Pierre
Morel. It is not the same kind of movie as “Very Bad Trip”, because “Taken”
isn’t a comedy but a thriller. Released in 2008, it had a great success and I
want to share it with you because the story is fascinating and it reaches a
varied public. Young people can learn from it and identify with Kim’s story.
The parents will necessarily be touched by the story of this father who tries
to find his daughter by all possible means.
Indeed, Bryan
who is in Los Angeles attends powerless by phone in the kidnapping of his
daughter who is in Paris. It is a nightmare for him, who was a former agent of
the American secret services. He has only few hours to extract Kim (Maggie
Grace) from a gang specialized in the trade of women.
Through
this movie you’ll discover “clichés” on the trade of women, but you will also
find Paris under another day, no romanticism! The different actions make my
flesh creep! I was surprised with this movie, because I often find the French
thrillers are boring and simple. Here, the scriptwriter, “Luc Besson” made me
change my opinion. It is one of the best French movies for me. I recommend it
to you.
However
“Taken” is a movie which divides the public. Generally, the press attributes it
poor mark while the audience is fan. The criticism that I can bring, concerns its
ending. This one is a little bit predictable.

RépondreSupprimerHello ! I love this kind of movies. There is suspens for the whole movie and a lot of action ! Taken is one of the best of this category (I think I can mention also "Le Transporteur"), the film is well made. It keeps your atention for the whole movie with a realistic history. It shows you what a father is able to do for his daughter. In this film you can also see how the mafias work. I have seen Taken 2 and I can say that it is too similar with the first. Why not to make a trilogy ?
